O’ Canada

We’re safely in Canada (we = Me, Amy, my Dad), and we’re having a good time so far. We arrived in Ottaway on Thursday, and slowly getting over the 3 hours of time zone difference.

Yesterday We walked around the Canadian Parliament buildings (Ottawa is the capital of Canada), which are very close to our hotel (the Westin, in the background of this picture).

This morning, we had brunch at an Indian place, and then bought some tasty berries at a sidewalk fruit stand. Ottawa has a canal right through the middle of it, and this is a view of the parliament buildings from the river, which has a ton of nice walking/biking trails around it.

After dad got out of his meetings for the day, we rented bicycles and went on a 16km (roughly 10 mile) ride down one side of the canal and up the other . Amy and I rode this tandem bicycle, which was quite fun.
