We bought a new kitchen table today. It was on sale, but still a little expensive.
It’s a step up from our previous table, which belonged to my parents for about 10 years before I inherited it. My Grandmother got that one about 6 months ago, and we’ve been using a plastic folding table for a while.
Needless to say, this is quite the improvement. Lionel think’s its a bit strange, as he’s not used to being able to look up through the table at us while we’re eating.
Nice table! I used to have one of the old hexagon glass tables back in the day but those were an accident waiting to happen. How sturdy is the table? Like old people no sudden moves sturdy or hurricane children sturdy?
It’s pretty darn sturdy – the table sits on top of the legs, but the weight of the glass and where the leg posts are located make it unlikely that you could knock it over without a lot of effort. Frankly, I’m more worried about scratches than it being knocked over.
The manufacturer is Amisco.
We’re trying to get 2 more chairs, but the seat cloth (Phantom/K1) may not be available any more.
